Monitoring Your Hormone Levels

High Estrogen is a Key Risk Factor For Breast Disease

About 80% of breast cancers are estrogen-receptor positive.  Thermography can offer your physician a powerful diagnostic tool to identify Breast Specific Estrogen Dominance by visualizing the true affects estrogen is having on the breast tissue. Our advanced technology offers grey scale imaging that demonstrates the vascularity associated with high levels of estrogen in the breast tissue.

While vascular changes are common among women during lactation and pregnancy, identifying vascular development can be critical in establishing your risk for breast disease.

By seeing your level of estrogen in your breast, you have another tool that compares and contrasts serum blood levels for a more accurate view of what's happening inside your body.

Too often, serum levels of hormones may not match the tissue levels. In fact, breast tissue can have up to 50 times the estrogen concentration as serum. Traditional salivary tests have been used to assess tissue hormone levels but do not take into account that the breasts produce estrogen locally while salivary gland tissue does not. Laboratory tests such as these are still very helpful in determining a therapeutic intervention and monitoring its effects, and should not be discounted. Thermography, however is a direct measure of breast physiology and ultimately reflects the desired change.
