When possible, thermal breast imaging should begin at age 20 to establish a baseline reading. Screening should continue every three years between the ages of 20 and 30. After age 30, it is suggested that women receive one screen per year.


No problem. Clear and accurate images can be obtained regardless of any history of breast surgery, including mastectomy, lumpectomy, breast reduction, or breast enhancement. In fact, breast thermography is the initial screening method of choice for women who have had breast surgery due to the limitations of mammography.


Breast thermography can identify changes in the breast that are likely to lead to breast disease 4-10 years before a tumor would appear. It can also identify who's at risk for developing cancer in the future and allows the opportunity for breast cancer prevention.


At our dedicated thermal imaging clinic in Spokane, that is specifically designed and climate controlled. We also travel to the Tri-Cities three times a year.


The test is performed by Wendy, our Certified Clinical Thermography Technician.


Dr. Robert Kane, DC, DABCT, FIACT is our interpreter. Dr. Kane serves on the board of the International Academy of Clincal Thermology (IACT). He teaches doctors worldwide about the science and interpretation of thermal imaging.


Results are usually conveyed within 1 week.


The procedure and review of your images is approximately 40 minutes. Please allow an additional 30 minutes for a MammaCare clinical breast exam.


There are no risks involved. The procedure is non-invasive and there is no radiation or pain.
